New Head Coach Named

WEEKS MAJOR MIDGETS ANNOUNCE NEW HEAD COACH
 
The Weeks Hockey Organization announced today that Richard White has been named the Head Coach of the Weeks Major Midget Hockey Club.  A New Glasgow native, Richard is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University, and is employed as a Manager of Finance at Sobeys Stellarton.  Richard is an alumnus of the Weeks program and has previously been head coach of the Scotsburn Major Bantams, as well as an assistant coach with the Weeks Major Midgets and the Pictou County Scotians Jr. B club.  Tony Conway, Director of the Weeks Major Midgets says “we are pleased to have Richard stepping into this role. We know that with his experience, enthusiasm for hockey and knowledge of this age group he will be an asset to our players and organization.”  
 
The Weeks Hockey Organization wants to acknowledge the efforts of outgoing head coach Dave MacIntyre, and thank him for his effort and dedication over the last six seasons.  Dave led our team to the league finals in 09-10, and was named the NSMMHL Coach-Of-the-Year that same season. As well, we would like to acknowledge the hard work of assistant coaches Troy Peters and Ryan White over their many years of combined service.  “I want to personally thank Dave, Troy, Ryan and Richard as well as our support staff for their many contributions”, says Art Kennedy, Weeks General Manager. “The time, effort and dedication shown by each of them have been a benefit to our players and our program, as well has made my time working with them an enjoyable experience.”
