Weeks Earn a Point from Season Opener

The Weeks Major Midgets opened the 2017-2018 season facing off against the Halifax Macs at the Civic Center.  Weeks captain Carson Lanceleve started his season by dangling a set-up from Ben Williams around the Macs’ D-men and sniping it top shelf to put the Weeks up 1-0 late in the first.  Halifax responded twice in the second to put Weeks behind the eight ball, but Mason Hawley nailed his first of the season to the back of the net 3 minutes into the third to even the score unassisted.  The Macs snuck one past Andrew MacLeod 2:28 into OT to end the game.  MacLeod was solid between the pipes and stopped 38 of 41 shots.
