The Weeks Major Midgets traveled to Port Hood and faced off against the Cape Breton West Islanders on November 11th and fell 6-2 to the Telus Cup champions. Weeks found themselves down by 3 with 3 1/2 minutes left until the third when Ryan MacLennan back-doored a pass from Justin Hardie and Carson Lanceleve on a power play to put the Weeks in the board. The second period saw the Islanders net two more, but MacLennan closed the gap again early in the third with Hardie and Lanceleve adding helpers again. The Islanders fired one more tally in the third to end the scoring for the game. Andrew MacLeod and Ben Gibbon split the game in nets and stopped a combined total of 49 shots.
Weeks hosted the Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack on November 12th and fell just shy of taking the game back with a 4-2 final. The first period was a spirited battle that kept both sides off the scoreboard. The Wolfpack fired 3 past Weeks in the first half of the second, but Carson Lanceleve rifled the puck past the Cole Harbour goalie at the 11 minute mark to put the Weeks on the board with Justin Hardie assisting. Hardie nailed a pass from Hunter Martin and Ryan MacLennan on a power play to the back of the net with 7 minutes left in the third to bring the game within reach, but an empty netter sealed the deal for the Wolfpack. Ben Gibbon guarded the net for Weeks and stopped 26 shots.
Weeks travel to Moncton, NB on November 16th to compete in the Monctonian.
